History
Established in 1988, China Plaited was one of the earliest, and now is the leading manufacturer and exporter in lines of plaited products of natural plants in China, thanks to all efforts made in the past 20 years.

Affiliates
Headquartered in Beijing, China Plaited now has 5 affiliates in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, Sichuan and Heilongjiang provinces.

Logistics
Since year 1989 China Plaited has built 1 inspection center and 3 main warehouses near Xingang (Tianjin) port, covering a total area of 24,000 square meters and hiring 50 regular workers. In Ningbo, south China's Zhejiang province we have 1 inspection center for igusa items and 2 main warehouses near Beilun port, covering an area of 8,000 square meters with 30 regular workers.

Human resources
Our 30 staffs in Beijing head office, ranging from 25-57, has an average age of 37 years old, with a median of 34 years old, 90% possessing a bachelor's degree in art or science, including 4 MBAs, and 80% capable of at least 1 working foreign language.

Turnover
Our turnover in year 2002 is USD 41 million, USD 38 million in year 2001, and USD 37 million in 2000.
In term of quantity, we ship out about 8000-9000 TEU worldwide each year.

Production bases
We have about 300 domestic suppliers throughout China. Products of ours come from about 600,000 workshops and households in most provinces in Northern China, and Zhejiang, Fujian, Anhui, Jiangsu provinces in the south.

Markets
We have a wide spread customer network around the globe. According to our statistics in year 2002, our business is distributed as follows,
31% in E.U.;
30% in Japan and Korea;
25% in U.S. and Canada;
4.5% in other Asian countries;
4.5% in Australia and New Zealand;
2.5% in Latin America;
2 % in East European countries;
0.5% in Africa.
